SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) - Police are searching for thieves who smashed their way into a Macomb Co. jewelry store before making off with thousands of dollars in stolen goods.
Surveillance video shows three suspects using a large rock to smash through the front glass at Elegant Creations on Schoenherr Rd. near 23 Mile before 5 a.m. Thursday.
The suspects, wearing masks and gloves to protect themselves from shards of glass, quickly made their way to the display cases where they used hammers to break through and steal jewelry and watches.
"These guys are professionals. They've definitely done this before," said store owner Pierre Nahed.
