A man who said he makes “rap beats” for
famous musicians told Pittsburgh police a friend stole $113,000 worth of
jewelry and other items from his Squirrel Hill home on Wednesday.
Isaac Cameron, 21, told police he picked up
the friend in McKees Rocks early Wednesday and brought him back to his
Dennison Street home. Cameron's mother told police she watched the man
shove jewelry and other items from her son's bedroom into a gold
backpack and then run out of the house, police said.
Cameron, who reported the incident shortly
after 10 a.m., told police the man took 19 pieces of jewelry, including a
gold crucifix, a Jesus Christ head with diamonds on a long chain, a
Bentley medallion chain and other items. He said the man also stole
prescription medication and his laptop computer, which had “rap beats”
used for famous artists, police said. Police didn't specify which
artists those were.
Officers, who have not yet filed charges against the suspect, were searching for him and the investigation is continuing.
