Out there ... Greenwich resident Judge Judy Sheindlin was recently honored with the prestigious Vice Presidency of the Law Society of University College Dublin for her lifetime contribution to family law. She and her husband, Jerry Sheindlin,
traveled to Dublin to accept the award where she gave a speech to over
500 law students. Judge Judy was a member of the Family Court system in
Manhattan for 25 years before becoming "Judge Judy," and for 15 of those
years she was appointed to the bench by the late Ed Koch. Former recipients of the award include Mary Robinson, former president of Ireland and Antonin Scalia, associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Out there ... ECAD, Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities will host a luncheon at Greenwich Polo Club on Sept. 1. The event, sponsored by Westchester WAG Magazine and co-chaired by Grenewich resident Sabrina Forsyth and Geri Corrigan, director of marketing for Saks Fifth Avenue,
will begin at 12:30 p.m. with lunch being served under a special tent
at 2 p.m. and a polo match at 3 p.m. ECAD service dogs and puppies will
be on view during the luncheon. All funds raised will be used by ECAD to
educate service dogs who will be placed with civilians or veterans with
a broad range of both visible and invisible injuries, including
post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. For tickets

Scene ... The screening of the short film "Gasmask" takes place
Sunday at 5 p.m. at Bow Tie Criterion Cinemas on Railroad Avenue in
Greenwich. The film, directed by independent filmmaker and Westchester
resident Pablo Bonelli,
has been submitted to film festivals in New York, Austin, Toronto and
