Thief swipes jewelry from N. Division Costco by KREM.com


SPOKANE, Wash. -- Police are investigating a jewelry heist at the Costco on North Division. Officers said a “significant amount” of jewelry was stolen late Tuesday night.

A Costco employee called police around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday when they discovered jewelry was missing.

Police said the suspect entered the building from the back entrance. The jewelry display case was smashed according to officers. The alarm was not triggered during the break-in.

Spokane Police Department leaders said authorities are looking at surveillance video for the suspect.
