Mallove's Jewelry Store Burglarized in Waterford Posted by Jayne Keedle

Waterford Police are hoping someone will recognize the suspects or the vehicle shown in these photos from the Utopia Plaza surveillance cameras.

Thieves broke into Mallove's Jewelry store in Utopia Plaza on Route 1 in Waterford while the store was closed, either during the night of August 8 or the early morning hours of August 9.

Police aren't saying how much jewelry was taken or what it is worth but they do have surveillance footage and are asking for help. If you recognize the suspect or vehicle shown in the photographs, please contact Waterford Police Department at 860-442-9451 and ask to speak with any officer ref case # 2013-01818.

Thieves have been busy elsewhere in Waterford too. A burglary was reported at a home in Beacon Hill Drive on August 7, at a residence on Mullen Hill Road August 6, and at a home on Vauxhall Street Extension. A larceny was reported on River Street (by Mijoy) on August 5 and on Ridgewood Avenue on August 6.

Please remember to lock your home and your vehicle and do report any break-ins to police, even if the thieves don't take much of value. Knowing where break-ins are happening helps police identify problem areas.
