Lloyds of London is offering a reward of more than $1 million
for information leading to the recovery of the $136 million in jewels
stolen from a Cannes hotel.
“A reward of up to 1 million euros pro rata is offered to the first
person who provides information which leads to recovery of the goods,”
the insurer said in a statement, according to media reports. The reward would total about $1.3 million in U.S. dollars at current rates.
Anyone with information on the July 28 robbery in the city on the French Riviera is encouraged to contact reward1millionE@gmail.com.
The theft of the Leviev jewels from the Carlton Hotel, where they were to be on display, may have set a world record for the biggest heist in history.
